hi can i change the dash display language or am i stuck with german.

on the subject of this is there anyway to put the mid into km/h instad of mph or is a T2 required?

I can do them by post now, but no idea whether the postal costs make it viable.

If its a CID, for example, its probably worth the postal cost.  If its a later style MID - worth bugger all - then I doubt it is...
