Moving leccy seats without power!
« on: 24 April 2009, 01:55:35 »

Hi guys, me and my pal Dave are trying to remove the front seats of my Omega Elite 1995 3 litre with no power - we have a slave battery on the ground next to the seats and have tried to give the seats power for over three hours to no avail!!!

Can anyone please help - which wires do we need to get power to so that we can slide the seats forward and back to get at the seat bolts?

Thanks

Chris

Just use the manual adjuster under the seat, it'll be easier  ;). Small (4mm?) square drive.  :y

Thanks Andy you're a star, but we can't seem to find it?  Can you tell us exactly where it is, as if we were sat in the drivers seat please bud?

Cheers

It's right underneath the seat, on the end of the motor IIRC. It's facing you as you look under the seat with your head in the foot well looking back! :y

So the nut is facing us, and on which side as we look?  We can see the bar and the ratcheting mechanism etc, but can't find this nut!

Thanks again!

I'll look tomorrow. But it's NOT a nut you're looking for, pretty sure that's the up/down on lower spec cars' seats. You're looking for a small square hole about 4 mm square that, if you still had the originally supplied handle (I don't have one either) you'd insert & manually move the seat.  :y
