Cannister Oil Filter
« on: 01 May 2009, 17:04:36 »

Need to do an oil change over the weekend and thought I had a spare GM oil filter, but must have used it last time.
I will be using genuine GM oil,but is ther any down side to using a non branded filter(Halfrauds etc)?? as I am unable to get to dealers now till after weekend break.

Should be OK, I would have thought. Might be best to use the Champion branded ones than the Hafrauds own but I've used both in the past without catastrophe.

Yep - no issues here, but stick with Vx 10/40 semi synthetic oil.
