T CUT AND MINOR SCRATCH REMOVER
« on: 16 May 2009, 22:54:40 »

Hi all
I have some minor scratches scuffs which i want to try and t cut out but im not sure what to use as there are so many products on the market
the colour of my car is a deep/burgandy red as per the one on the home page
so a red tcut ? a burgundy tcut? a metallic tcut ? im confused the colour fast ones seem a good idea but will they work with this type of red or make it worse
advice please

If it's metallic, I'd avoid the usual T-Cut - it can damage the top coat.

The T-Cut colour-fast stuff isn't great (been there, done that).

What I would do is try some AutoGlym Ultra Deep Shine (the wax that has a black label) - its what I've used on my motor to get rid of minor scratches, and it works a treat  :y

Just remember it is a massive market and plenty of sellers trying to convince you that their product is the one you need!

In my opinion, if you have scratches and they havn't reached down to the colour coat they need cutting out  with fine Wet and Dry paper, followed by rubbing compound, finished with T-Cut.

T-Cut will never damage the metallic paint as it has a clear coat(laquer) on top
