Wheel sizes
« on: 17 May 2009, 19:57:00 »

hi guys.
What size should the wheels/tyres be on my
2003 2.2 auto CD be ?.
It`s got 225/55/16 Michelin pilots on, but a
couple of tyre places seem to think they should be
195/??/15.

best wishes to all.

Nonsense, 225/55/16 is the size for the standard 16" alloys for the 2.2.

Believe 15" inch wheels will be 195 by 60 or 65

See your omega handbook for a full listing

Total nonsense as VXomega said. Do not listen to these d**kheads. Use the tyres recommended in your miggy manual or stick to the 225/55/16 size. in my opinion, the 195 tyres will not give you a comfortable ride!

225/55/16 is correct factory size.  Sadly this is quite an expensive size, as not massively common.

The size on your car is correct 225/55/16v, however Vauxhall tend to use steel wheels as spares, there tyres size is 205/65/15v.
Try www.mytyres.co.uk - they currently have 152 types of 225/55/16 both V and W rated, from £50 each, the size has never been short supply.
Good luck
