MID issue

ok started working on the miggy today again
and was focusing on the electrics
I have sorted the outside temp fault (thanks for the advice on this forums) It had been unplugged.
however still cant get rid of the F on range
any advice on likely cuase please

The F on Range is probally a gearbox sensor to the MID. Or Someone in its prevoius life has swopped the MID from a Auto into a Manual or vise versa.

What happens when you fill it up with fuel?, does it show 0 range before going to F.

F on range is something to do with the fuel level sensor :y

I had the same problem a couple of years back sure it was the MID though

Agreed, but Ive had this on incorrect MID swop outs, as well as gearbox sender, which is what I would confirm first  :y

ok when i got the car there was a old screen in the boot
and one on the dash
so I would then lead to the conclusion in is the wrong one
i will take it out and read the numbers and see
i will also test the one from the boot

you will problably find the one in the boot is pixalated

well hopefully it will show me enough to prove it was an original
in which case i will need to hunt for another one to match it

there failry easy to replace!

btw anyone from an Astray G or a Vectra B will work too

The Boy & the other T2 members can also reprogram that one in your car for you
