auto box 2.5 v6

hi got 2.5 v6 auto just got her got prob with the auto box when you pull away seems to be suck in 3rd when cold all fine s botton comes on. auto Box check comes on dash com but then at times box ok very new to this car cant see why i did not buy one sooner great car would the box need topping up not sure how any advise would been wellcome ty

you need a fault code reader plugging in to diagnose the fault. Could be the selector switch ....  :-/

check fluid level in box, it needs to be at runnng temp, on level ground with engine running, level needs to be at bottom of sump plug hole & use dex 3 if it needs a top up

IMO it's not an ATF level problem.
