lpg fitting
« on: 23 May 2009, 19:09:32 »

How easy would it be to fit lpg system that came off an older omega? I have the whole system ready to fit, just wondered if I would have any problems?

If you know the make, i suggest you contact the reseller for fitting instructions. They will also know what changes that must be done prior to diffrent engine specs.

How old is the LPG sys you'ge got? If I was you I wouldn't botherwith intalling old things. I'm driving 2.2 CD Auto with 1inj. Leonardo sys, which is about 30% less efficient then 4seq, that I've seen installed in my friend's 2.2CD Auto (yeah... we've had the same cars :)) )    I also don't think you'd be able to do it just by yourself :((

as I said - dunno if you'd be able to do it yourself, and the sys is probably 10 yrs old, isn't it?

i took it off the other car myself, watched where everything goes so thought it would be an idea to stick it on the elite, took me about 3 hours to get it all off,i know it would take longer to fit,but just wondered if the brain would need work,eg reprogramming or would it just plug an play coz its come from the same vehicle?

to fit LPG is one thing
to properly set the damn thingy up - thats another story
that's basicly why I wouldn't recommend doin it yourself :)

a few on here have fitted diy, including myself, but have used the stag 300 system from moto gas which runs its own set up programme supplyed on cd. Its easily configured but i asked Kevin Wood to run a beady eye over it just to make sure. I had the vapourires set a bit low on temp. but it was fairly close without much input from me apparently.

If you have an idea where it all goes from the previous install then your half way there. Or look into one of the above systems if the old ones a bit ify.
