does the pink vx longlife antifreeze need to be mixed with water

the barstewards the parts bloke told me it dont need mixing so i just poured it all in , will this affect the cooling

He could have given you pre-mixed.

Did he give you pure anti-freeze or ready mixed? Was it like water, or a bit thicker?

then next time you see the parts bloke, punch him, dumbass idiot.

Drain it out... flush with water. Get another bottle, mix it 50/50 with water, re-fill.

Guide in maint seciton

i did the cambelt last month and changed the water pump so i put 4-5 liters in

So ..... you have 100% pink/red antifreeze in your car?

Drain a gallon/5 litres off and then re-fill with fresh water. that'll give you an aprox  50:50 mix!  :y

Whole system is 9.7 Lits so if you only put 5 Lits antifreeze in and rest water then you're OK - 50:50 mix.

will this mix affect the cooling cos it seemed to heat up v-quickly going over the mountain road to applecross

Assumed you have a V6 - and not a 4 pot!  Would help if you put car details in your details :-/

Normal running around 95șC with fans cutting in around 97șC.
