Disconnecting egr on 2.2dti

Hi, anyone tried to make a gasket to stop the exhaust gasses entering the inlet on this?
Asking since those diesels gets pretty messy inside when they have done some miles with that eco system pushing exhaust trough the engine.
I know disconnecting the egr just makes the engine go in emergency mode and loose power, but will stopping the problem at ex manifoild side solve this?

Also... I don't have a diesel, but from what I read, it seems that on turbo-diesel engine it is NOT recommended to disconnect the EGR as it can (somehow..) interfere with the turbo pressures. Did anyone hear about this? :-?

You will increase the pressure since you are blinding the outlet to the egr system, and therefore you will add that extra exhaust to the turbine. but  on the dti pressure  is monitored by an gauge on the inlet. so it will only adjust back to right pressure. an increase of turbine speed may occur.
Guess i will be testing and posting my results when i Ame that far. as for now my engine is ripped apart an going trough an overhaul.:( caused by the egr system greasing down the inlets, causing valve leak on nr 4 cyl. also inlet manifold valve system is stuck...
