auto gear lever

Hi just got the wife a 2.0 face lift,got fed up with her nicking my 2.5 cdx, the thing is the auto gear lever is sloppy for want for a better word,any one got any thoughts on it or will i have to replace it. thanks every one

i think the gear lever when not connected to the box just waves about, so going on that i would have thought its the g/box itself as it has a stepper type ratchet affair, perhaps its the latch on that which is a bit sloppy, if you do decide to change the lever though youll find it is rivetted to the transmission tunnel :y

yes i think it may be the ratchet , there just seems to be alot of free play between the gear selections compaired to my cdx

perhaps its just the selector rod that might need an adjustment, or maybe a worn pin or hole where the lever connects to the box if you know what i mean :D

Sorted took all of 5 mins, the nut that holds the lever to the box was loose,thanks for your input
