Do you know if the spindle has come out of the cog that lifts and lowers the seat?

When I got my car it was in the fully raised postion and the spindle wasn't engaging.
Might be a place to start.
Any one else? :-/

Just fixed both of mine ish.
Both were seized in the raised position
Unfastened from floorpan..
Tipped back..
Gripped top of screw (motor end), with
self locking wrench.
Operated up/down switch, and gave a good
wrench, and away they went.
Used WD40 on the screw where it enters
the bottom boss.

best wishes..meerkat
