How much does a Tech 2  cost? Do you need a software for it. Where can one buy it from.

I don't have one myself but i believe that they are about £3,500 or so and there are a few people on the forum with them so it's unlikely you'll find it cost effective to purchase your own.

Yup, in UK, approx £3,500, plus extra for the other bits such as CANdi.  Depending on what you want to do, you may also need a TIS2000 subscription.
