Multi Ram
« on: 05 June 2009, 17:15:06 »

Front Multi Ram.
How can I check this to find out if this is working correctly?
The back is working, Kevin Wood checked this while on the Tec reed thing, front not working.
I’ve replaced the black vacuum round disc thing.
I took the pipe out from the back and gave it a good suck, nothing moved.
When should it move?
Please help, as a may have a vacuum leak somewhere.
Cheers.

Thank you, I'll have a go and see what happens.

It seems I couldn’t suck hard enough.

Hmm. Just trying to remember what the symptoms were. These damned Omegas all merge into one after a while. ;D

IIRC, there was some vacuum at the actuator but not enough, and it collapsed when the throttle was blipped so possibly the reservoir attached to the bag pipes is leaky or the non-return valve has had it.

THINK I know a great way to find out if the Multiram is working ok.

Slow down to about 15/20 mph, open yer window, drop it in to 2nd gear, if an auto, hit the Sports button and more or less, floor it.

Soon as the revs hit about 4500 rpm she should start whistling as the Multiram kicks in and you should "fly".
Kinda like a poor mans turbo but with a lot more noise.

I love it !
