Hi Chris,
It was set to 20 when I looked at it so I don't think the settings are in error. They are stored in NVM so shouldn't be wiped out by a battery change.

It will run a bit moody if you let it switch over immediately after start. However, I find it's quite happy on gas at 20 degrees C vap temperature if you set the time to switchover a bit longer (say 30 seconds) so it has come off the worst of the after-start enrichment before it switches to gas.
(petrol engines need enrichment even when warm when starting due to fuel "wetting" the manifold walls whereas no problem exists for gas, hence it runs rich and lumpy)
I noticed your vapouriser wasn't getting much over 60 or so even when "pressing on" so 55 degrees is much too high for a switchover IMHO. 30 would be a more sensible figure but the key is a slightly longer time to switchover so it doesn't switch immediately after a start (be it warm or cold) IMHO.
I have never noticed a difference with the climate setting. Maybe coolant flow through your heater matrix or HBV is a bit slow? Might explain why the vap. was a bit cool? (although I should have a look at mine and remind myself what it runs at).
Have a watch at the vap. temperature while you fiddle with the climate settings and see if you can spot a pattern?
