rear window stuck down

The  rear window motor has stopped working unfortunately the window is stuck in the down position ive removed the door panel and membrane but can't see a way to get the window closed as a temp fix any ideas? :'(

Is it possible to get to the actual motor connections without going via the contoller? You might be able to put 12v across the motor direct if you can.  :-/  :-/

thanks andy tried that the motor seems dead good idea though cant see what holds the glass in place if i could free it at least i could close the window

The front windows are 'glued' to a rail that's part of the up/down mechanism. The pop rivets need drilling out to remove the motor anyway, so once that's out of the way you could use a tried & tested brush handle to wedge it up!  ;D ;D ;D

glue! that 'l be why it won't shift then i'm gonna block it in till the morning then i'll find a brush handle ;D ;D
