30mm lowering
« on: 08 June 2009, 20:08:09 »

Spoke to Courtney today. They only do Eibach 30mm or 40mm lowered spring kits. Also spoke direct with Eibach and a drew a blank there too.
So in a nutshell...no standard height up-rated springs for Migs.  >:(
I have 40mm lowered on my Elite, and it handles really well. Firm without being harsh, but a pain in the rear end as it often catches the pit jack, knock it into the pit...which isn't doing the jack much good. 40mm is just a little too low.

May go for a set of 30mm lowered Eibachs.
Will the standard camber adjustment facility be sufficient front and rear ?  I'm reasonably sure the front will have plenty of camber adjustment, but I'm not sure of the rear.
I fitted adjustable rear poly-bushes on the Elite, but I don't fancy paying for another set.

Any one have the Eibach 30mm lowered jobbies and if so, what's the general opinion with day to day driving ?

mine has had irmsher lowered uprated springs on the rear, for 3 years now and no issues with trye wear, my  large trolley jack goes under easily, as i fitted air shocks on the rear so when towing or heavy loaded i can just pump them up to where i want them to be!! but even with the shocks down jack still goes under? think they are 40mm lower than standard never had any probs with them at all and the car for an estate handles quite well :y
