£1100 quid isn't a bad deal as long as neither of you are hurt.

Couple of doors prob £50 each in the right colour if you look hard enough. Not sure about the pillar though may need a pull to straighten if bent, could try the new doors and see :-/

Mrs has whiplash and pulled trapeze and several pulled muscles in her lower back. But no permanent injuries thank god. She's up to her eyeballs in painkillers and been to a & e and docs to get her checked over so i'm really glad she's ok! Obviously i can get a new miggy but she is irreplacable :) Actually a good excuse to get an mv6.

Sorry to hear about your accident, hope the wife is recovering well.. what a bummer, I would go see the person who crashed into you as any claim on the insurance,  due to the other driver being uninsured comes out of your pocket, when you pay the excess and the bang the premium up next time round.

Nice strong car and by the sounds of it protected your wife from serious injury....

all the best.

Insurance just estimated £2500 worth of damage! Just rang my local spray guy and he'll fix it for £300 if i get the doors in the same colour. Does anybody have any advice as to how I deal with this?

Well they've written it off today and paid me out £1800 and i get to keep the car. All i have to do is re-mot it and get it inspected. Happy with the payout though! I only paid £700 for the car!

Has your wife injuries been recorded with your insurance company.   She should be OK after a rest, means you've got to cook, wash, hoover etc.  :'(.  Joking, us men do all that any way :o.

Hope you are looking after her and she's OK

Joking apart, injury could cause her pain and suffering for a while.    Because the other driver is uninsured, but you know who it is there is a way compensation can be chased.   M.I.B.   (Motor Insurers Bureau).  Part of our premiums are deposited with the MIB which means you can make a claim to them.  Understand MIB purpose is for the innocent victim not to suffer too much as a result of the other party either being uninsured or untraceable. Speak to your insurance company for advice.

Happened to my daughter.  Polish HGV driver - Police, Insurance couldn't trace him.  Settled by MIB.

Thanks for your help and advice already got a claim going. My insurance company direct line say that the owner of the vehicle have a duty of care and therefore they are recovering it from their insurance.
