Cooling system leak
« on: 17 June 2009, 19:15:10 »

Hi, I have a cooling system leak coming from a plastic cylindrical unit at the back of the engine on o/s of my V6 it is leaking from the body of this unit as though it has a hole in it. It is very difficult to see how many hoses are attatched to it. Please can you tell me what this unit is and why should it be leaking from its body.
Thanks Mike.

There should be three pipes coming off it if I remember correctly. You could do with getting it fixed as soon as you can as leaving it will only cause more problems, rusting and damaging your dispack (the old distributor) if you don't :y

Put your dummy back in Andy lad ;D

I would advise Mike T to remove the scuttle panel so there is easy access, this way you should not break any T pieces :y
