Brakes questions!
« on: 18 June 2009, 19:09:37 »

Hi there,

When I get paid the MV6 desperatly wants some new pads all round.

Firstly, is it just a case as with any other car of undoing the bleed nipple, prising apart the piston, removing and popping in the new pads? Both front and back.

Also do I need to replace any wear sensors or anything? (It hasn't hit them yet)

Pretty much so  .... yes!
Brake pad sensors are very easily broken when removing from the old pads though. It depends how/new old your car is, very last cars just had one at the front, none of them have rear sensors.

Beware Alec, your car may not have them in place and the wires just taped up,as I found mine were ::) ::) ::).  Worth checking to see if they are actually there! ;) ;)
