Hello. Is it true that one of the 4 rubber tubes on the top of the plenum should be left disconected? If so which one? thanks Dave

I dont think so!

there is one extra rubber pipe on auto's from the autobox which vents to atmosphere if thats what you are thinking of?  but thats in addition to the 4 normal.

Thanks for that. Its just that I have read on here that you should not connect the autobox pipe. Where would you be able to connect it to by mistake?

There should be 4 pipes and the auto box breather which doesn't connect to anything

Thanks. Is the auto box pipe easy to spot? And what would happen if it was connected?

Short term, probably nothing but I would check the gearbox oil level.

It runs from a short angled pipe from the front of the auto box...

No its not very long, certainly no tlong enough to reach the engine bay. After some work on the auto box on mine they didn't tuck it away properly and as I drove off I heard an odd scraping sound. Got out and checked underneath and there was the pipe hanging down and dragging along the ground, only just touching it though.

I didn't know what it was at that point so slightly panicked, but when I went back they explained what it was and tucked it back into position..
