2.0 idling,stalling, manifold blowing?
« on: 12 July 2009, 15:11:58 »

Having idling problems so have cleaned breathers and changed ICT.
Still suffer from irratic idling as low as 700 to as high as 2200. Sounds like exhaust blowing from front - manifold? Could this be causing idling problems - not done paperclip test as yet.
Cheers

If it fluctuates that much, you have some sort of a big air leak!!

Spray around lightly with carb cleaner whilst the engine is ticking over ... when the engine note changes thats where the leak is (carb cleaner has ben sucked in and burned, so effectively adding fuel). Once leak fixed wipe down with paper towel.

This will find all induction leaks as they are "suction" .. it won't help with an exhaust leak !!

Result .. fixed leak and a nice clean engine :)
