*$%*ing seat!
« on: 13 July 2009, 18:48:07 »

Any sensible suggestions?
I can see the offending 10p stuck right at the back of the seat runner. As you all know the seat's to go forward enough to get the rear seat bolts out ....... but there's 10p stuck & I can't get the b**** out! It's solid behind the seat belt anchor bolt bracket!  :'(

Could have been worse at least it wasn't a pound coin ;)

Sorry mate couldn't resist.

Tried a longish drift and hammer?

Last time I had a coin wedged in the runner I used my b@stard bender (and very strong, thick 18" screwdriver) and the side of a claw hammer. A couple of sharp taps and ping! It nearly had my eye out ;D

One of those 3-prong spring thingmies is what I used to get the 10p out of the seat rails in the old miggie .. has a plunger one end, you push it the 3 spring claws extend out and open, release the plunger they go back in... hopefully griping whatever you are trying to move ...  tok about an hour to get the 10p out .. but got there in the end ...

No idea what the thing is called .. :(

Mine cost 99p in the £1 shop .. :)   you can pay loads more if you want .. :)

A person needs only three tools: WD-40, duct tape and a hammer. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape. If either doesn't work use the hammer
