I would have thought all the cars with the same body shapes would have the same towbar(i.e saloon or estate) but saying that there are twin exhaust fitted to some !. I have just booked my saloon to go in on thursday to have a witter towbar fitted. Try ringing a towbar fitting company to be sure mate. ::) !

I think they are - certainly the body shell mounts are the same.  The difference is whether you need to cut the bumper or not because facelift vs prefacelift has different bumper size

fit yourself for two reasons  a) it is fitted properly b) it is cheaper

It is so easy to do there is no reason not to!

Quite agree. Fitted mine earlier this year. Bolting on bar and wiring took about
four hours. With a brew in the middle  ;) ;) :y

If you are anywhere near somerset you are welcome to come take mine off and have it for free :)

I dont plan on towing and think its ugly, havent got around to removing yet.

Its on a 00 facelift 3.0 so should fit yours fine.

cheers!

It's all a matter of personal choice, but I think that swan neck towbars bars look far nicer than 2 bolt flange type, the main strength in in the boot floor & not slung under the car (on show-ish) ...... obvious detachable are the very best looking, or not depending how you think! ;D ;D ;D
