Autobox, how smooth should it be
« on: 20 July 2009, 22:22:45 »

Hi, im just wondering how smooth is the autobox, ive had an oil change and filter replacement about 2 weeks ago. When it changes gear its a little abrupt not terribly hard but u can notice, but other times just goes in smoothly, could it need an update?

I have no experience of this trouble, but mine changes up & down without me realising. I wonder if it is possible you had an airlock?

Updates? Probably, makes a big difference, especially with the up changes!

and update wont fix any problems with the box.

it will improve the map so normal changes feel smoother, however any underlying problem will still be there.

When I did my filter and oil, it needed a top up after a few weeks, it could be you do too.
