3.0 cams into 2.5 > how many seals are required?
« on: 03 August 2009, 13:51:15 »

i'm going to be fitting omega 3.0 cams into a 2.5 shortly, and i wondered how many oil seal gaskets were needed for the camshafts themselves?

i know i'll need cam cover gaskets and associated parts, along with timing belt kit etc (it's due soon so might as well do at same time) but wasn't sure about the camshaft oil seals themselves.

Camshaft oil seals (4) can normally be re-used with care and aftermarket items are often rubbish IMHO. Worth having a couple to hand in case you damage one though.

Cam cover gaskets and "O" rings will also be required. Intake gaskets can be re-used.

it's for a c25xe, so i think the exhaust cams can remain where they are
