mig overheating it seems??
« on: 04 August 2009, 23:11:59 »

Well maybe I'm just imaginig it but better to check before something goes wrong.
My mig seems to be overheating in town trafic little more than usual.
Actually tha fan kicks in every 1.5 to 2 minutes aproximatelly.
I know it is summer but it seems that's a little quick.
Coolant level is ok, waterpump is new, no waterleaks anywhere, car is leaking oil a little on the cam cover gasket ( this  will be sorted in two days but don think it is relevant to this).
Oil is ia little above minimum.
Can anyone have some words of wisdom for me  :-/
Also the fan sounds a little to noisy

Did they flush the system aswell or did they just drop the fluid and do a refill?

Might be better to do a proper flush, you will get a shock at how much dirt comes out.
