AA CAME OUT TO ME YESTERDAY

Hi all yesterday i had to call the aa out as my car wouldnt start and weird how it was fine the day before when i drove it 400 miles.I did the paper clip test and it was showing code 73 which was the air flow meter.Any way when the aa man can out to me he looked to see if there was a spark and there wasnt so he fine the crank sensor uncliped it then clipped it back in the then the car started no probs.What i wanna no is shall i still get the air flow meter as the codes are saying 73

bizarrely false maf errors have been known to be reported with crank sensor errors, but very strange not to have a crank sensor reported too.

I would leave it alone and regularly monitor for codes....and have a new crank sensor lined up.

One other thing jimbob if no u or not do u no if the crank sensor from a 2.0 8v will be the same as the 16v

Code '19' tends to be when the crank sensor is about to totally fail ie next to dead. They can work for months and only cause intermittent problems and does not show code '19' but rather spurious fault codes like 'MAF'.
