Question for LPG users and/or Polish members
« on: 29 October 2007, 10:42:10 »

I've been looking around for some interface cables to tweak my dual fuel ECU and came across this page. The price is LOTS cheaper than they usually sell for in the UK, and it appears to cover most of the LPG manufacturers that I've heard of. Can anyone vouch for these guys? I'm sure most of the people selling cables in the UK are buying them from places like these and simply slapping on a huge markup!

Postage is a little expensive at around 25 euro, so it would make economic sense if a few people were to get together for a combined purchase. The other thing is I'm not totally sure how to pay, as there doesn't seem to be a credit card option. The English is a bit sporadic in places so if anyone who knows Polish could translate for us that would be great.

Anyone else interested?

No-one? Thought there'd be a bit of interest here since there are a few dual-fuel car owners.

Hi. For peoples from UK it's two ways how to pay: bank transfer, or http://www.moneybookers.com/app/?l=EN.

But I can help for You, to get one :y  On end of november, I will be for one week in Poland, so I can order for You one of this, and they will send  to my polish adress-postage in Poland will be cost about 25 PLN (1 GBP=5.25PLN at today). And after I comback to UK, I will post to You(but I dont know how much will be postage with Royal mail)-You can pay for me with paypal.

And always You can ask a question about combined purchase, or how to pay via this link:
http://www.viaken.pl/kontakt.php?lang=en
Regards Pat

Hi and welcome,

Thanks for the offer. I am definitely interested in getting these cables, if you can pick some up at the end of the month that would be great, it will save me the hassle and cost of trying to do a money transfer.

Is anyone else interested in acquiring a set of these cables so we can combine the purchase?

Cheers
Paul.

PS Your English is fine, I can understand everything. It's a lot better than my Polish ;)

Hi Paul,

I know this may seem a strange suggestion but... pay a visit to the Somerfields supermarket in Wester Hailes.

...no, they don't sell them there.  ;) There is a guy that works for them who is a security guard (I bet he's kept busy ;D). He is from Poland and goes back there on almost a monthly basis. He also has one of the neatest looking facelift Omega's around... and he has just recently had an LPG conversion done on it.. in Poland.

I was chatting with him recently and trying to get him to join the site (maybe he did?) and he was telling me how cheap Omega parts are in Poland.. Exhausts, spoilers,.. all sorts.

If you don't want to risk Wester Hailes, let me know and I can PM you his name and Mobile number.

Cheers mate, that could certainly be another option. I'll wait to see how Pat gets on though, as it won't be long until the end of the month now.

Damn thing cut out on me again yesterday, I can usually anticipate it and quickly get into a low gear then lift the clutch while there's still enough momentum to keep it going, but now and again it happens when I'm too close to a stop. Time to disable fuel cut on over-run methinks!

Fuel cut on overrun is probably a function of the OEM petrol system rather than the LPG? Assuming it piggy backs from the petrol injector signals the LPG system will cut fuel when the petrol system does.

Any idea on how to sort this? Is it the much talked about "heavy ends" that need to be drained?

Hi

If you could get me the 10-cable interface:
http://www.viaken.pl/sklep.php?lang=en&kat=7&prodid=106

And the Millennium single connector:
http://www.viaken.pl/sklep.php?lang=en&kat=7&prodid=19

That would be great. Purchase cost for those will be 25 euro, plus postage costs.

Let me know how much I owe you and how you want the money sent.

Many thanks :)
