suggestions for protecting dispack from water drip
« on: 22 August 2009, 20:40:17 »

i know this is a common problem, but short of relocating the dispack on a v6 are what suggestions do you have re protecting it from the drips of water that collect on that rubbish spongey bit on the underside of the scuttle? is there a way of preventing the spongey thing from getting wet?

The common "cure" for the damp sponge under the joint in the skuttle is to run a bead of sealant (common bathroom silicone will do) down the joint in the 2 halves of the skuttle :y

you mean where the two separate scuttle pieces meet? bond them together with sealant?
