ebay key repair advice

i have a knackered key (have to put the key in the door to open) if i by one of the above would i need tech 2 to reprogramme it.

will it even work ? ?

Any 'New' key (as in new to the car) will need programming to the car

If the one you've got works for now, it would be better to bite the bullet and pay for one from Vx. Expensive but you know it will work.

Its only a repair kit - "this is not a complete remote!

HERE WE HAVE A REMOTE ALARM KEY REPAIR KIT AND BATTERY.

THIS KIT CONTAINS A BRAND NEW BUTTON PAD AND BATTERY ONLY."

Wouldn't have thought you'd need a tech2 in this case.

so would i need to do the ignition trick to pair the two back together

Depends what's wrong with your existing one.

If you're currently opening it with the key, why not separate the key and remote, send the remote to Martin and use the key section in the meanwhile. Be very careful not to lose the transponder chip out of it!

The usual failure is the buttons on the PCB and they're not included in this kit.

kevin i never thought of that - so so simple. i will pm him now does anyone know what he charges ?

Just Remmber to stick some take over the transponder chip to stop it falling out of the key and getting lost other wise you could end up with a bigger problem. ;)
