Removing the CAT
« on: 24 August 2009, 00:54:30 »

Need your comments guys.

If I remove the CATS (both of them) and replace them with 3/8 pipes to connect the exhaust, what would be the effect?  Also what happens to the sensors attached to them? Can I just short them out by attaching a wire so that it seems as they are still connected to the CAT?

Thanks.

The cats have nothing to with the sensors, they are there to tell the ECU that the engine is getting the correct fueling :).
You have to just remove the cats and leave the front pipes on, but as said it won't pass an MOT :(.
