I guess you need something more than just stalk to fit a cruise control??

Depends on engine. 2.2/2.6/3.2 need cruise stalk, possibly clutch switch if manual, and a plug-in to a Tech2 to enable.

2.5td just needs cruise stalk

2.0/2.5/3.0 need the actuators and associated gubbins as well

i had to fit the stalk, one of a senator or carlton seem to fit and all connections line up and plug in fine, cost one smashed up carlton, whoops( the real test will be to see if it works!) , and the clutch switch, this came off a v6 vectra again fitted and plugged in fine, cost £5 in local scrappy. now needs enabling in the computer. that should be about it. oh newent, driven through a few times will look in that section now.
cheers for that

Yes, see you again in September ! .
I still have my '98 Elite, however it maybe a little long in the tooth (160k) for the miles I will start to cover.
Face-lift CD models seem very cheap but would need cruise control, 'tech2' not a problem i'm sure 'Dr Omega' would help out !

the senator/carlton one from memory works, but stalk too long.  brand new from dealer, stalk is only £30ish
