A little story about my day
« on: 26 September 2006, 18:18:36 »

Dear all

Its been a hectic day - my boss is off with pneumonia and i now have 104 staff.

On top of this i have managed to finalise my private plate transfer to the MV6.

On top of that i have purchased another car - but its not a vauxhall.

Saw it on ebay - had only been on 2 hours - seller in glasgow, like me.

Emailed the seller a few questions - as its spare or repair on a buy it now, i knew i had to be quick.

Seller returned my email with lots of positive details and turns out he is two streets away in the city centre at work, with the car.
So at 8pm tonight i pick it up ( came in on train - drive home in new car)

Its got fsh, 3 months tax, £30 quid petrol, 3 months mot and a female ( dysfunctinal, erratic, problematic ) auto gearbox.

Its a 1997 r reg 1.6 megane and everything works. Cash in the tax, syphon off the petrol and it will have cost me £95.

A satisfying day - as long as i get home!!!

i should say this is NOT for personal use,

Play with the box AND see if i can get it going - usual checks,  fluid, sensors etc . If not price a Gearbox and replace it.

I reckon i need to replace the box as  the early scenic ones were mush

If not break it.

When we first started driving my mate had a Maestro Vanden Plas which spoke to you.

It was hillarious, it just spurted out random phrases all the time while you were driving.  ;D
