[tigers_gonads]

as some of you will know, i have just fitted a 3 ltr v6 in my 2.5 estate.

engine went in ( eventualy)

fired it up this afternoon
ok  ( ish )  its running   very tappity
did not rev it !!
let it run sat on the ramp for 20 mins
warmed up ............ some noise from bottom and top ( tappity)
turned it off and started to bleed the clutch of air.
had some trouble getting the air out ( no pedel )
after 5 mins of pumping, lowered the ramp and decieded to fire it up again.
car refused to fire 
put it on a snap on solus test box ............. came back code 31 ( crank sensor )
so ............. i removed a known good sensor off my old 2.5 v6 ..............
fitted it ................ still no spark 
it turns over and sometimes it nearly fires but seems to be blowing back through the inlet 

i can't take anymore of the sh*t
some of you will know my job / financial situation so some of you will know how desparate i am at the moment 

can anybody give me some good news  :question

31 isn't crank sensor, you get 31 if the engine isn't running.

Have you removed any of the plug leads?

Is this the one you bought of Markie Mark? give him a ring mate and ask him, would not think he would sell you a duff engine..
Code 31 will come up if you have put on the code reader when the engine is not running. Crank sensor is Code 19

Code 31 will come up if you have put on the code reader when the engine is not running. Crank sensor is Code 19

19 is crank sensor, 31 is no rpm signal (always get this when the engine is not running)

no ............ nothing else has been touched since replaceing the crank sensor other then turning the key

But if its up on ramps, is the oil takeup pipe able to take oild from the sump to pump around the engine - tappets espcially?

while it was running ....... there was some squeeling from to utility belt but i put that down to damp on it .

had a small water leak ( loose pipe )
the block did'nt run anyway near dry

i think so ........... as it warmed up it was starting to quiet down

right lads ............ i know this is in the wrong place but i need to get word out fast 

i have 2 2.5 v6's with all the bits on and a 2.5 td estate with most of the bits left 

need to raise cash now so .............

anyone need anything pm me with  v serious offers

 i'm a electrician ( or was ............ just lost my bussines ........... on the dole and going bankrupt )

i havent a clue what any of these bits are worth ( thats why i havent broke it up / head up arse and all that )

i hope people don't take this the wrong way but

in the spirit of oof im going to ask people to name there ( fair ) price for any bits
