Cam Gaskets

hi, what would be a good price to pay for the supply and fit of cam cover gaskets on a 2.6 v6cd? i hear it is quite a job. :)

Not a hard job to be honest, maybe an hours labour 2 at the most.


Edit......... I just noticed you have a 2.6, so this might be different to a 2.5, but I doubt it.

Where do you live?

Update your Status and you might find someone on here will tackle it for you at a fair price.

Two hours labour in a Garage could be anything from £60 to £160!!

2.6 so less junk above the cam covers, best off doing it yourself! Take your time and you know its done right. Garages will rush through as quick as possible with poor pattern parts.

Make sure the gaskets that are fitted are genuine and that whoever fits them cleans the breathers or you will have to replace them again soon. I would say £130 with the genuine parts supplied and the breathers cleaned is about fair ;)

hi mate, Daz from the club has offered to come down next week and do them for me. all booked with him now, and given what i have read about him i dont think i have any worries :y
