depends on lights, old type you pop off the clips then using a long flat head screwdriver and slowly go along prizing it apart, new type are same but can easily chip the plastic clear frunt, there is glue holding them together and is hard if you only have one screwdriver so use 2 one to open and the other one to keep the presure on so can be removed. :y

yeah they the new type so be carefull removing the lens, you may need to replace the glue after, caravan sealer is good its black and comes in a tube, remember to put it on the black part and leave for ten min's before putting back together dont use a lot, tube cost about £2-3, should do 4 head lights in one tube,, then use a hair dryer and heat up the side till warm leave to stand for about an hour then you can put lights back on again. :y :y, oh and by way head light are dish washer freidly, put mine in ev now and then, :y

yeah take bulbs out and auto's, on bottom tray len's up, gives them a good clean, leave out side for abit till dry, that was old ones used to have, not needed to do it to new ones, they seem to stay cleaner, but are safe to put in dish washer has logo on the back. long lasting shine inside. :y :y

since reading this post iv,e seperated the lens from an old one of mine -( aim to clean inside of lens.) i found a model knife was handy to cut the sealant as you prised with screwdriver. but be careful  :y

I have the two lights that I tuck off in garage but they are the old type they all plastic not like the new ones that are chrome reflectors. the old ones lose there chrome plating as its plastic. they no good for the road re-chrome'd them but did not look right when dry'd so got new set, same as fog lights they corrode and lose there chrome plating to, can use chrome lining and heat glue to fix them, but they are glass fronts, I used a plastic ruler on the glass side and open it with screw driver bit fiddly but did not damage the glass, gave them a good clean out with the drill and wire brush, then cut the lining to fit seperat top-mid-bottom then glue'd them inplace and rub down with a cloth, worked well :y :y can get the chrome linings at hobby craft ( sounds funny) but it is good there, could if wanted to there is the blue tint chrome aswell. :y :y
