every year when mot come round before i take her round I have to adjust the hand brake cable, dose any one have the same problem. :-?

it is if you don't use it throughout the year, every so often i clean mine but gently pulling the hand brake up sub 10/5mph for about 100 meters

I agree this is the right thing to do, and I believe it says so in the handbook. However my question would be, does this help to stretch the cable at all, as I seem to require far more effort to pull on the hanbrake when doing 10mph than it needs when stationary.

i use it all time as dont live on flat, but its not stretched as coating is still cover'd, and is all greast up shoes have 4mm on them and adjusters are ok, cable is only 3years old, shoes i dont know came with the car. :-?

yeap did that, d it every time, think i will put another nut on end see if that makes a dif,
