Hi folks, own a 91 2.0l omega estate (petrol). Always started first time until now, engine management light came on and although it runs fine when driving, starting it has become a pain. Fault code says i have a prob with the engine RPM signal (rev counter is fine if that matters?) Any info about where its located, how to fix it or indeed why it's messing with my ignition would be gratefully received. hope i've given enough info. Thank you people!

91 Omega? Your location does not say where you are but i am betting Europe?

In '91 the Omega here in the UK was badged a Carlton.

It came over from Ireland apparently and has a private plate. My chum says its a 91 but im not smart enough to know how to check.

Do an ebay search for vauxhall carlton and see if it looks like them.

crank sensor up behind a/c compressor. 'fiddly' is the word I'd use if you have a/c
