I hope to pick up a nice looking facelift this weekend under registration no. W219 RNK.    A light blue metallic CDX with a few nice MV6 mods.

She's currently with a very nice Trader in Hampshire who informs me that it has several "decals of  the "Omega Owners Club" etc etc.  Sooooooooo I assume one of you kind chap may know or be an ex-owner.

That being so, financially this is a big step for me SO was wondering if anyone could give me a "heads up" on any of her past life.

If anyone can tell me anything I'd very much appreciate a message or call...07973 735574  Chris.

REALLY !   How can I reach him  ?    Or could you please ask him to phone me. ?  I'd phone him straight back.

It looks like he looked after her BUT I'd like to know if he has anything else for me to take in to account.

OOO poo..This is a post he made a while ago.
Worried me that the 'W' reg CDX he refurs too is the one I'm looking to buy this Saturday. Was it light blue ?  Not because I wouldn't mind the upgrades but the de cat is illegal of course plus i might have a nightmare regarding the DVLA/Insurance if they think she's still a 2.5 I'm either on to something, the trader has been duped  OR  I've been a complete and utter prat !

Anyway ! This is what he originally wrote: Is it about W219  RNK  ?

"After deciding we needed a second car in the family i decided to source a cheap Omega after it was recommended by a friend as a good quality car, so i set about looking around and come across a 2.5 CDX on a W plate for £800 to try out and keep standard   

Well in Febuary this year i brought this one which had 93,000 and Full Service History, the car was very well looked after and just needed a few bits to make perfect like Cambelt, Rocker covers and a good T-Cut as the paint was very flat......

Well its only August 09 and so far i have had Fitted

3.0 MV6 Engine/Box Fitted (engine bored to 3.1)
Full Re-Map & Chip
De Cat Exhaust
Clear Side Repeaters
Upgraded Grill
Full Leather
Electric Rear Blind
MV6 Alloys £75 Bargain on miss spelt items

Please confirm urgently !

VERY happy to be a complete and utter prat if I've got all my facts wrong on this....just need some urgent clarification.  Won't be the first or last time I suspect !

Understood...but i'm getting rather desparate to be honest. Need to know simply IF the W Reg CDX W219 RNK is the modded one that Andy refurs too. Was that his modded Omega. ?

That said...Its my work phone !  Anyone want  Suspended Ceilings or Office Partitioning installed ???

Best way to make sure would be to check the engine number, and have a look underneath to see if it still has cats IMHO.

P.S. I'm in hampshire if you need a reccee done.

Funny you should mention that Kevin.  I've sent a text to the vendor to ask him to take a look under the car in the morning. If i'm wrong I'm sure he'll think I'm bonkers. Also, I assume that if he looks under the hood it should be obvious if its a 2.5 or 3.0 by the top of the plenum. If the black bit on top is short with no breaks, it will be a 2.5, if long, with a break then its a 3.0 is that right. How else would he see what engine size is sitting under there. ?

Be carefull what you say Kevin...I might just take you up on that. She's near Petersfield and my father and I are supposed to be going down there from silly Suffolk this Saturday for around 13.00 Hrs.

I'm REALLY hoping she isn't the car that Andy had modded..great though I'm sure she is...The decat and engine change would cause me problems i could do without.

Anyone !   I'm at the point where I MIGHT be accusing a trader of trying to sell an illegal motor, knowingly or not in which case he'll be gutted.

Does anyone know if W219 RNK, light blue 2.5 CDX, IS the modded car that AndyVXR once owned and heavily upgraded. I've Pm'ed AndyVXR a couple of times without reply.

Is there no way of checking it out online, via any of the links that have been posted in the past.


As for the dealer, all you needed to ask was if the cats were in good condition and that you would like to double check when you view.  Then he either fits a pair or compensates via way of a deduction.

If she isn't his modded mig its a good buy...if it is..it will be a disaster for someone. ??
