Hi hope sombody can help me on this please.
at around 30 mph i have a wobble feelling coming from the front right wheel when i speed up it goes and is fine, you can hear it aswell, but its intermittent, when doing over 30-35 the car is fine, any ideas, thanks

Wheels need balancing? have you bashed the kerb?

i thought that but do you think i would here the noise,
i will have to take to a tyre depo and get them done, would be nice and easy if thats all it is

What sort of noise.

like a .... the only way to describe really like a faint whopping noise that you can here in time with the wobble, not a wheel bearing noise iam sure

have you checked tyre walls and look at the tread pattern sidewall couls have a bulge or the bands inside tyre could have snapped hence wave in tread giving wobble.

Not sure Dans, think my first call would be to jack the fronts up and have a good inspection, Tyre condition, wheels for kerbing etc, any wieghts missing or hanging off plus has anything attached itself (I had a piece of Gaffer Tape stuck to one of my tyres once, had me going).

Short of that pop it into your local tyre shop mate.

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.Same as i had on a cab.first started as a clicking then a droning and above 40 mph couldn't hear any noise at all.

The give away that it is a wheel bearing when driving with the wheel on full lock it will squeal or drone at a set speed and you should feel it through the steering.When jacked up a faulty wheel bearing will show with excessive wheel movement.(when doing this make sure the steering wheel is held stationary otherwise it will turn as that is what you are asking it to do!.When doing this you can check the wishbones for excesive play while you are at it.Again it is a good idea for someone to hold the steering wheel while you look under the car.Hope this is of use to you.

turns out i have a very large amount of play in the front drivers side wheel, can this be anything else if would you guys say defo bearing, and are the expensive for the part and are the hard to change?

i swapped the front wheels around and it seems to have stopped now, any ideas why not sure it was the wheel bearing now. and i put it in for a taxi mot and it passed without even any advisorys and there normally very strict?

check the drop links on the steering - mine passed the mot even though it had play on the drivers side - it was mainly evident in a wobble at 35-40 that everyone diagnosed as balancing
