Why? OE is more than good enough!

Richard's car will/should have proper solid discs at the back, vented came much later.

Unless you intend to drive it like you just stole it, OE is more than good enough.

I think you'll find most of us have never had a problem with the discs Vauxhall supplied!

...........whatever you do dont used Greenstuffpads. Omegas are too heavy.
My first change was to EBC Discs and Redstuff (by HiSpec at Dartford). Garbage, utter garbage.
I currently run Ferodo Fast Road pads with Courtney grooved Discs (front and  rear) which I have no complaints about at all.

As has been mentioned already (and in many, many previous threads) OE are more than sufficient. Entirely your choice/preference and of course, budget.

Big, two part discs with six piston callipers (is that the right terminolgy? :-?) can be fitted to the front wheels for about £1k - £1.5k (red dot, Willwood, AP Racing can ,but not unfortunately Tar Ox or Brembo (not Omega specific anyway)) and you've got to have fairly big wheels to get it all behind in the first place.

It's all personal choice I guess!

Put GM pads and discs on mine 2 years ago, still holding up very well. Stops better than some small hatches!

Tad squeeky at times, but not touched them in 2 years, i really should flush the fluid and copper slip the edges.

I've been shouted at numerous times by Chris for saying I use copperslip on brakes ......

Personally my mv6 has the best brakes out of all the cars i have ever owned,and some have had modified larger brakes,but still finds it stops on a penny,even from speed.
