« on: 22 November 2009, 02:11:06 »

Im having problems with my prins lpg system

for some reason it only holds the gas in when i fill the complete tank

couple of weeks ago i put in £10 worth and it flicked on for a short time then flicked off using none of the gas ive paid for

any help would be grateful, i dont want to try filling up a complete tank if the same happens there

sounds like a presure reg problem, may need the rubber replacing, are you losing gas or is there a strong smell.

with the stench agents they put in the gas, i think you would have smelt £10 leaking out. What happend when you switched over to gas, did it stall?

Sounds to me like it's either leaking or a sticking solenoid. What does the contents gauge say (the mechanical one on the tank)?

thanks for the input

i didnt check the tank gauge, i just thought there was something wrong with the garage pump rather then my system because it worked fine with a different garge i mentioned

i did smell a strong smell inside the cabin when i filled up, it kept switching to gas for a few miles then went back to petrol so would seem something is leaking

But when i filled to the top it works fine
really need some in there today, the car runs smoother on petrol but i cant really afford the 106p per litre.

my worry is if i fill up today - full 50litres, would it actually work as i dont want to loose more money/gas
