« on: 21 November 2009, 12:29:32 »

Hello everyone, how much should i be paying for a full set of brake discs and pads for my Y plate 2.6 Omega.  Can anyone recommend a place to purchase them also?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Around the £90 mark + vat for the front from VX with a trade card. Use genuine parts only.

Thank you

I don't have a trade card, any pointers to where I can purchase the original parts online for reasonable cost?

Post up your location someone near you may have trade, otherwise join autobahnstomers to get trade prices  :)

Unless your going to blizt the track, GM discs and Pads offer the best value for money, and last very well.

Try autovaux.co.uk i dont think they are genuine ones as a package (which include discs and pads together) however if you ask they should be able to get some genuine ones for you

Do you want rear discs as well? If so make sure they know if they are ventilated or not, £90 sounds cheap for 4 discs and pads, they wanted over £40 for the back pads when I bought them, although that was with VAT and no TC

I paid £84 (its now £90) that gets you 2 x front discs and 2 sets of front pads.

Rear pads are £10 for the pair on TC, very unlikey you need to replace the rear disc. I have done 45k on my rear pads still got loads of meat on them

Front discs about £120 as a pair, as a kit with pads £85 + VAT

Join ABS then get them next weekend

Rears are about £100 a pair plus pads - I may be changing mine early in the new year
