Haynes Manual Omega 1994-1999 states ref to left and right is in sense of person in the drivers seat facing forwards page 04

Which is correct for the vehicle.....the engine is confusing due to its application as a longitudinal and transverse power plant in different vehicles

Seems to be one hell of a lot of confusion on this topic.
I will just get on with the job, when it stops raining for a few days and run on the assumption that left is nearside etc.

I have the Haynes manual. I followed their advice and had the A/C degassed before I removed the engine. How I laughed when I discovered that it wasn't necessary >:(

Like any resource you have to use it with care. The advice on here seems to be far more reliable :y :y
