Heater air through vents starts OK but then stops

On Auto, my heater blower can be heard spinning away but no air flows out the vents. But hit the screen, face or feet buttons and it blasts through air......at least for a while. After driving for a while, even pressing screen, face or feet controls only gets a minimal air flow even with the fan on full blast.

It's been like this ever since I had a new AC evaporator fitted 18 months ago. The AC air flows ice cold during summer out of all vents according to the Auto temp setting. I can only think something relating to the heater got connected wrong at that time.

Any ideas fellas?
