Been offered a stainless longlife back box for my 2002 3.2 elite, the back box has come of a 1999 3.0 elite, willit fit straight on to my elite?  ;)

If both are saloons/estates then they should but depends on where the joins were made in the original stainless system - same place as original or an inch or three further back?  Centre sections might be short or over long otherwise...

only long life on out side not inside., have 2 that look good but failed on mot, and a crome one as well.

What element of the MOT did they fail on? If stainless I assume they did not leak so why did they fail?

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.
