    I find it mildly ammusing being 'shouted at' by someone who is barely older than my own lad ....... you do share the same attributes though. He thinks he knows everything there is to know about everything too!!!!

Blimey, this is getting as bad as my fishing forum! For what it's worth, I've had two Bosch dispacks fail on a car that has done 130k. The last one only did 45k. Both looked fine externally. I've put a cheapo pattern one on this time although to me it looks identical in every way externally to the Bosch one, just no numbers. Only done about 500 miles and it seems fine, guess time will tell.

I changed a dis yesterday that was in a bad way. The car was mis-firing and a new dis pack solved the problem. I have seen a few faulty dis packs.

I think I would have to consider if 1, I could afford a Bosch one and 2, am I keeping the car. If the answer is yes then I would buy Bosch.
