What is the running tem while constantly  cruising on your mig?

I have tried checking a thermostat this way ie hand on hose into rad on my V6 ,When the thermostat is closed is there no water passing through the rad.  atall, I wondered about the heater hoses do they return to the rad.

Running temp?

Always spot on 85, sometimes a tad more 86/87. But 90% of the time its on 80%
