Manual ECU in automatic car?
« on: 10 December 2009, 19:50:22 »

Hi!

Can I replace my automatic ECU to an ECU from a manual car - same model year?I have the manual ECU, the transponder and key chips. Will it work if I replace these 3 elements in the system?Any experience? So the car is automatic now!

I beleive it will work,

you will get gearbox warnings if you dont have the ecu tech2 set for a manual, but dont think it can warn you the other way.

either way, IF you can get it reconfigured, I would.

Try a 'PM' to Turk.
I'm sure he did a similar ECU swop earlier this week.
